  T1,T2,TT Series
 


    Here are some examples of the T1, T2 and TT guitars.  These guitars share the same body shape as the Standard, the main difference being the absence of a separate carved top.  They do, however, have a fore-arm contour on the front for comfort along with the body contour on the back.   The models shown here are fairly typical of a standard version; custom versions of these guitars are limited only by ones imagination.

General specifications for the Giffin T Series:


T1 - basic model price:  $3,340 

T2 - basic model price: $3,635

TT - basic model price:  $3,635

    Any custom guitar ordered using parts and materials from this WHITE box section should fall within the basic model price, and will not add to the price.  Any custom option from the SILVER box below will add to the price by the amount shown.

   (Please note that Black Limba (body and neck wood) is now a $150 upgrade, due to increased difficulty to obtain suitable material - see Silver box at bottom of page.)

Neck dimensions:
 Scale Length:  24 3/4 inches
 Width at nut:  1 11/16 inches, width at 22nd fret:  2 1/4 inches.
Neck thickness at first fret:  .890 inches to .910 inches.  Thickness at 12th fret:  .990 inches to 1.000 inches.
General neck shape is based on a 50's Gibson  which is a 'C' shape at the body end tapering down to a slight 'V' shape at the nut end.
Neck/body joint:  Neck joins body at 21st fret.  Heel is cut away to an unobtrusive but safe minimum.
